Assuanta Collins was born and raised in New York City.
She began writing books at the early age of nine.

Assuanta has fifteen years of experience in higher
education within the City University of New York System
and the Board of Regents in Georgia.

A succesful entrepreneur, she is the proud owner of two
publishing companies: Asta Publications, LLC and
imprint Nile Valley Press, LLC.

Asta Publications is a small independent publishing company that provides traditional and print on demand publishing services. Nile Valley Press, LLC publishes personal and professional development books written by professional speakers, consultants, life coaches, industry experts, and entrepreneurs. Asta and Nile Valley are committed to promoting literacy within the African-American community.

In New York City, Assuanta worked with business leaders and community organizations along with other universities to develop partnerships and programs to train and educate citizens in Harlem. The partnerships resulted in the establishment of successful welfare-to-work and job training programs.

In addition to being a multiple business owner, Assuanta is the author of two books, “Until the Next Time” and “Until the Next Time 2: God’s Plan”. She is currently working on two more books: the sequel to “Until the Next Time 2: God’s Plan” and “Cheating on Your Wife with Your Wife”.

She has participated in book tours and signings throughout the South and in the North including places such as Atlanta, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Washington D.C., and New York.

Assuanta also participated in the Book Expo of America, Harlem Book Festival, Queens Book Fair, For Sisters Only, Booking Matters Literary Showdown, Clayton County Chamber of Commerce’s Trade Show, National Black Arts Festival, AJC Decatur Book Festival, and the Sweet Auburn Festival.

Assuanta holds a Master of Science degree in Adult Education and Human Resource Development from Fordham University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Early Childhood Education from the College of New Rochelle.

Assuanta is also an active board member of the Fulton County Workforce Investment Board. In addition, she holds membership affiliations with the following associations:
